About Suzanne
Greetings,
My interest in health and healing is not limited to massage, bodywork and yoga, nor to only human health, though that's my greatest focus. For many years I've been studying what is called 'energy medicine' or metaphysics. Simply stated, it's the directed intent to facilitate change or healing in a living body through conscious awareness. Tools I use to help clients/students facilitate healing include Reiki, other energy movement modalities, the development of intuition and body awareness. It's a great honor to help people in their progress toward increased awareness and wellness. The human body and its innate desire to be healthy fascinates me. And in this sense, wellness isn't limited to the body, it permeates our entire lives.
As I see it, all Life is intrinsically connected; the physical realm originates in the non-physical (Energy/Spirit) realm so the health of our individual lives and bodies, and collectively our societies and planet, reflect the state of our individual and collective minds and beliefs. It's this connection that intrigues me and is the focus of my study and practice.
Though a yoga practitioner since 1970 (I was fortunate enough to be introduced to yoga in high-school p.e.), my study of kinesiology began with the study of massage therapy in 1987. My interest in metaphysics also began in the 1970s. My curiosity is Increasingly piqued by the relationship between the physical body's structure and function and the inhabitant's feelings, emotions and beliefs.
As a Licensed Massage Practitioner, Certified NST (Bowen) Practitioner, Reiki Master, Cranosacral Therapy practioner and Yoga Teacher, it's my intention to help clients and students facilitate healing through an increased awareness of the body, the effects of thoughts, feelings, emotions and beliefs on the body, to decrease the the effects of stress and release stress- or energy-related holding patterns in the body.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Namaste,
Suzanne
